Allah uses the word “aanasa” to underline that as soon as we detect maturity in orphans, we must give them their wealth. The word is a reference to how gazelles’ ears perk up the moment they sense danger. This example provides a general directive to Muslims to give people the rights due to them without delay, otherwise we would be in trouble with Allah.
